Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

Airplane Mode is a brand operated by Clarification of Reality LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you interact with our website (airplanemode.io) and related services (the “Services”).

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly: name, email, shipping and billing address, payment details, or account info when you sign up, purchase, or contact us. Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, and basic usage data via cookies and analytics. Information from third parties: platforms like Shopify, payment processors, or social logins if you use them.

2. How we use information

Provide and deliver products and services. Process payments and manage orders. Send updates, promotions, and event invites if you opt in. Improve our website and Services. Protect against fraud and comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, and email platforms; business partners if relevant promotions are offered; and legal authorities if required by law or to protect rights and safety. When you order delivery to a hotel or residence, we share your name and order details with that property and, where applicable, the delivery carrier solely to complete delivery.

4. Cookies & tracking

We use a small set of cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary: our payment processor (Stripe) sets cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud — checkout cannot function without them. Site functionality: we use your browser's session and local storage to remember your kit selections while you shop; this data stays on your device and expires with your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we introduce analytics to understand site performance, it will be disclosed here first. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to provide our Services or as required by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data; withdraw consent for marketing; or request a copy of the information we hold. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@airplanemode.io

7. Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.

8. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent changes.

9. Flight Sync

When you turn on Flight Sync, we store the email address you provide as a customer record, with your consent, so we can contact you about the service.

If you connect a calendar (such as Google Calendar or Outlook), our access is read-only. We look only for upcoming travel — flight events and their dates — and store only what's needed to time your delivery and notifications: travel dates, route, and booking reference. We do not read, store, or process any other calendar content, and we never sell or share this information with third parties.

You can disconnect at any time from the Flight Sync toggle or the unsubscribe link in any email, which revokes our access and stops all processing. You may also revoke access directly in your Google or Microsoft account settings.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Data protection

All data, including Google user data, is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS on every connection between your browser, our servers, and Google's APIs. Data at rest, including OAuth credentials and stored flight details, is held on infrastructure providers (Vercel and Shopify) that encrypt stored data using industry-standard encryption (AES-256).

OAuth access is limited to the minimum read-only scope required, and stored calendar-derived data is limited to the minimum fields needed to time kit delivery: an event identifier, departure date, flight code when present, and a truncated event title. Full calendar contents are never stored.

Access to systems holding this data is restricted to authorized personnel, protected by multi-factor authentication, and used only to operate the Flight Sync feature. We never sell Google user data or transfer it to third parties for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI or ML models.

If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify affected users without undue delay. Disconnecting Flight Sync — via the on-site toggle, the link in any email, or your Google Account permissions — deletes the stored credential and stops all processing; associated flight records are deleted or become permanently inaccessible.
